ACTIVE PARTICIPATION

All people with disability can and should be active participants in their own life with the opportunity for connectedness, hope, meaning and purpose. 

UNDERSTAND THE PERSON AND BEHAVIOUR

Understand behaviour in terms of function, context, and in the environment in which it occurs to develop tailored and effective support strategies.

Understand the person through a bio-psychosocial model.

Behaviour of harm must be considered through a trauma informed lens.

All people with disability have the right to feel safe in their home and community.
